Question on CMP ammo.....
Hi guys and girls,
Just got in my order of .30 Carbine ammo from CMP and it is Aguila 110 grains. New looking box, very pretty ammo.... Since I just got in my one box (which will go on my boat) I am just wondering if any of you have any thoughts and experience with this ammo. Yea, I just got 50 rounds (that will go on my boat) but I was just looking for some thoughts.... Thanks,,, GRP |

Aguila is good to go. Their facilities in Mexico are reportedly top notch. Bx3

Shoot-up the 50 rounds for practice and go get 500 more.

Re: Question on CMP ammo.....
It's decent. Dirty as all get out, smells like cat urine, semi accurate, but dead on reliable.
I tested S&B, Aguila, Wolf, and a couple other cheapos and Wolf was as accurate as the S&B, and better than everything else, in two different carbines. LC and Win were better, but a LOT more expensive. So I stocked up on a pile of Wolf. I know, I know, I hate steel cased too, but at the time it was .20 per vs .30 per, and I went with the 50% discount. I've burned through over a K of it with no problems other than the grime and stink. I REALLY like leaving the 'brass' on the dirt to rust away. |
Re: Question on CMP ammo.....
Aguila is good ammo. I shoot their match 22 ammo and have shot their 45 acp with no problems.
